This is exactly the reason why Jose Rizal is our national hero. His words go to the very character of the Filipino, and why we are where we still are now.
ReplyDeleteWe are not stupid to not know what we deserve to have. But still, we wallow in mediocrity because we are too lazy to take charge.
The concept of freedom for the Filipino has changed. But whether or not he deserves it has not.
